Here I go, post number 3 for the day-whoop whoop! This campground was in the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge, and also on the Missouri River and Fort Peck Lake, There was a fishing tournament being hosted here so the park was really full. Lots of guys with boats-oh lala! Again, I was in the primitive tent camping spot. There are mandatory watercraft inspections set up all over Montana. My first one was right before I came to this park. Even if you only have a paddle board or kayak, you're to pull over for the inspection. Checking for bugs and slugs. Some of the inspection stations have power washers with chemicals to wash down the boats depending on the lake. It kinda looks like I don't have much to blog about for this park. That's okay, I'm going with it. I plotted my travels all of 8 days through Montana. Awesome view from up on the dam of Fort Peck Lake. Fort Peck Lake view from the dam. Family of deer hanging out in the meadows along the road. I came up this hill and there was a corner, when I saw the deer of course out comes the phone for the photo opt, then my attention span was only focused on getting a good pic and I had crossed over the line and here comes another vehicle-oops, we both were going super slow so no near miss. It's all good!
